BlackBox Multimedia has optioned the crime thriller novel Nothing Ventured from the William Warwick series by Jeffrey Archer for a TV series adaptation.

Nothing Ventured is the first book in Archer’s latest William Warwick series that details the tumultuous life of William Warwick, from his time as a detective in the art squad, his career moves through drugs, murder, royal protection, Olympic Games security and finally counter-terrorism – with several triumphs and a few disasters in between, and was published in 2019 by Pan Macmillan.

In the series, viewers meet William Warwick, a man who has always wanted to be a detective. Much to his father’s dismay after graduating from university, William joins London’s Metropolitan Police Force, rather than become a barrister like both his father, Sir Julian Warwick QC, and his sister Grace. Upon joining the Met, William begins a career that will define his life: from his early months on the beat under the watchful eye of his first mentor, Constable Fred Yates, to his first high-stakes case as a fledgling detective in Scotland Yard’s Art and Antiques squad.

BlackBox Multimedia is a film and TV production company, founded by Guy Avshalom, formerly of Lionsgate UK, and led by former FOX executive Giuliano Papadia with operations in London, Italy and Spain.

In 2023, BlackBox coproduced The Castaways and The Serial Killer's Wife for Paramount with Clapperboard.
