Freddie Highmore also stars in the Two Brothers Pictures series

Prime Video's 'The Assassin' starring Keeley Hawes begins production in Greece

The Assassin, produced by Two Brothers Pictures and written by Harry and Jack Williams, has commenced filming in Greece.

The Prime Video series stars Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore, who each serve as executive producers. Faliro House Productions are the Greek production service company.
 
Also starring in the six-episode series are Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Gerald Kyd, Devon Terrell, Richard Dormer, and David Dencik.
 
Secluded on a remote Greek island, retired assassin Julie (played by Hawes) has a thorny reunion with her estranged son, Edward (Highmore), visiting from England armed with questions about his paternity. When the moment finally presents itself to confront her, things take a deadly turn as Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her and they are forced to flee the island and go on the run together.

Krissie Ducker, Hamish Wright - who serve as executive producers - and Selina Lim are also writing. Sarah Hammond and Daisy Mount serve as executive producers for Two Brothers Pictures. Nige Watson is producer with Lisa Mulcahy directing episodes one through three, and Daniel Nettheim directing episodes four through six.

Two Brothers Pictures is a London-based independent production company that joined the All3Media family in February 2017. Their credits include Fleabag for BBC and Amazon, Liar  for ITV, BBC's Baptiste and The Tourist.
