Production on the BBC series adaptation of William Golding’s acclaimed novel Lord Of The Flies is underway in Malaysia.

The four-episode series, surrounding a group of schoolboys stranded on an island, will also film in the UK later this year.

The cast includes many actors making their professional acting debut. David McKenna will play Piggy alongside Winston Sawyers as Ralph, Lox Pratt as Jack, Isaac Talbut as Simon, and Thomas Connor as Roger.

Each of the four episodes is named after and surrounds one of the key characters.

Lord Of The Flies is produced by Eleven for BBC iPlayer and BBC One and co-produced by Australia’s Stan, also distributing the title in the territory. Sony Pictures is distributing internationally.

Marc Munden directs the series from a script by Bafta award-winner Jack Thorne. Hans Zimmer is co-creating the score with Kara Talve.
