Romain Daudet-Jahan's debut feature Kyma is now filming in the Grand Est region in France.

Daudet-Jahan co-wrote the script with Émilie Dubois, and it stars Jules Lefebvre, Lucy Loste Berset, and Mamadou Haidara.

Kyma revolves around Tony, a lonesome teenager whose passion is animals. His life is turned upside down when he meets a mysterious creature in his tiny village: the Kyma, a living soundwave that is able to shatter solid matter.

The film is the third from France-based Moana Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment France as part of their joint Parasomnia Productions outfit to support genre films.

Marc Missonnier produces for Moana Films. Moana's credits include 2018's Angel Face which featured in that year's Cannes' Un Certain Regard. Daudet-Jahan is known for 2022's short film Colonie and 2020's short film Les champs magnétiques.
