Saif Ali Khan joins NTR Jr's Indian action-drama NTR 30, filming in Hyderabad

One month into production, veteran Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has joined the cast of the tentatively titled action-drama NTR 30 which is currently filming in Hyderabad, India.

Starring RRR's NTR Jr. in the lead role, the film is described as a high-octane action story set amid India’s neglected coastal territories. The film's tagline also reads: "When courage turns into a disease, fear is the only cure."

The feature marks the star's 30th feature film which also stars Jahnvi Kapoor (Dhadak, Good Luck Jerry), alongside newly-cast Saif Ali Khan (Hum Tum, Omkara).

The film's production company NTR Arts announced Khan's casting on social media alongside on-set pictures of cast and crew.

NTRArtsOfficial tweeted: “Team #NTR30 welcomes #SaifAliKhan on board. The National Award winning actor joined the shoot of the high voltage action drama.“

Koratala Siva (Acharya) is directing the milestone feature and is produced by NTR Arts.

Filming commenced last month on 25 March, with a grand ceremony and puja (religious worship) to mark the beginning of production. 

Teasing details about upcoming feature at the launch ceremony, director Siva said: "The movie is set in a deserted coastal land of India... It’s an emotive narrative about how we live in a society where monsters outnumber humanity and mankind is closer to beasts than men. They have no fear of God or even death. What are they afraid of? Let’s see what happens. It’s going to be an adventure. I promise fans and moviegoers that this will be my best film yet.”
